The hosts provided a warm welcome and were always available to answer any questions we had. the cottage was cozy, clean, and well-equipped, with comfortable beds and a great shower. the location was perfect, with stunning scenery and wonderful walks right from our doorstep.
The wifi signal was a bit erratic, which made it difficult to stay connected at all times. Other than that, there was really nothing to dislike about our experience at this lovely cottage.

We had the most amazing stay at this remote accommodation tucked away in the stunning Assynt region. The location was perfect, with beautiful scenery and plenty of attractions nearby, like the Clashnessie Falls. The cottage was well-equipped, with a lovely wood-burning stove that added to the cozy atmosphere. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. The cleanliness and attention to detail were outstanding, and the communication with the host, Paul, was excellent. We couldn't have asked for a better stay.
While the absence of a washing machine/dryer might be inconvenient for longer stays, it didn't detract from our overall experience.

We had a wonderful stay at a peaceful and cosy retreat. The location was remote and allowed us to truly unwind. The cottage was warm, well-equipped, and had a log fireplace that added to the cozy atmosphere. The hosts were welcoming and provided helpful suggestions for exploring the beautiful Scottish coast. We especially enjoyed visiting Stoer Lighthouse and Lochinver. The view from our accommodation was stunning, and we loved sitting outside and taking it all in. This was one of the best equipped self-catering accommodations we've ever stayed in. we highly recommend the Smithy House & Cottages for a comfortable and relaxing getaway.

I had a delightful stay at a cozy cottage in a remote part of the country. The hosts were welcoming and made me feel at home. The cottage was tastefully furnished and had comfy chairs where I could relax and enjoy the view of the clouds drifting by. The location was perfect for exploring the surrounding area and going on walks. The highlight was discovering a small business selling hand-dyed wool, which was a dream come true for me as a knitter. I highly recommend this place for a comfortable and relaxing getaway.

Excellent value for money with a lovely, cosy and well-decorated room. The location was peaceful and surrounded by stunning Scottish scenery. The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay.
Breakfast selection could have been better, but that's understandable given the remote region.

I had a wonderful stay at this cosy byre conversion for 2 weeks. The open plan living space with a stove and fully equipped kitchen made it feel like a home away from home. The separate bedroom and great shower room were a bonus. The hosts, Christian and Eric, were very helpful and welcoming, providing a brief overview of the cottage upon arrival. The location was perfect, with stunning walks right from the doorstep, including to beautiful beaches. I appreciated the comfortable beds, cleanliness, and the CD collection that introduced my son to new music. it was a fantastic experience and I would definitely book again in the future. We had a wonderful and romantic escape in a remote part of the country. The location was just what we were looking for, offering beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere. The hosts were welcoming and made us feel at home in the tastefully furnished cottage. We loved sitting in the comfy chairs in the living room and watching the clouds drifting along. Additionally, the hosts provided us with great suggestions for day trips, allowing us to explore the surrounding area.
Although we had a great stay, there were a couple of things we would have liked to be different. it would have been helpful to have a knife sharpener in the cottage.
